DigIdS grading API takes as an input a combination of Automatically retrieved data points (IP, Device ID) and Dynamically provided data points (Phone Number, E-Mail) and returns a grade, from A to F. The same grading concept that is utilized in every education system.
The DigIdS grading API utilizes Artificial Intelligence models to analyze all data points provided to grade the Digital Identity of your users.

How it works

The input for DigIdS grading API are phone number and/or email address and/or IP address and/or Device ID during registration or log-in process at your platform.
Firstly, we normalize input data for that particular transaction and perform basic validation of data points.
The next step includes checks for the history of identity and fraud for each input data information.
Third step includes generation of machine learning features based on input behavior accross our platform. This refers to calculation of variables that include both statical and dynamical parameters for a particular input transaction in time.
Finally, our state-of-the-art hierarchical Machine Learning system consumes calculated features and produces Digital Identity Grade with the reason code behind the reasoning of a given grade.

DigIdS grading system

Grade A: The combination of provided data contains accurate information and the AI model did not find any irregularities within the provided data. “A” grade customer profile can proceed to execute the requested transactions.

Grade B: In general a “B” grade means that the Digital Identity of the customer is legit but not perfect. The AI model did not identify any major irregularities or discrepancies but there may be some minor data inconsistencies. “B” grade customers are good to proceed with the intended transactions.

Grade C: The provided data has triggered the AI model significantly enough to introduce doubt with respect to the customers Digital Identity. “C” grade customers are to be handled with caution. They have the same chance of being legitimate good users as being bad users.

Grade D: “D” grade users are considered to be poor and lean more towards poor users than towards good users. These customers should be put through more rigorous checks and should definitely be limited to the amount of damage they can cause.

Grade F: Either the provided data contains invalid information or the AI model has identified major irregularities or discrepancies in the data. “F” grade customer profile should be limited to transactions that cannot cause damage.

Best practices for DigIdS
grading API usage

1 . DigIdS grading API should be used in parallel with your existing anti-fraud and anti-spam solutions, it is not an all encompassing replacement for your fraud prevention.

2. DigIdS grading API works best in combination with Phone Verification and/or E-Mail Verification during the new-user registration process.

3. DigIdS grading API shall also be added within the password reset process, the various sign-in entry points as well as any phone based or email based Authentication processes, i.e. before phone based Two Factor Authentication is triggered.

4. DigIdS grading API requires customization for each customer for optimal performance. It is not a one-size-fits-all solution. You will have a dedicated AI expert working with you on the roll-out and customization of your solution.
